1) SUB

A subcontractor is an individual or in many cases a business that signs a contract to perform part or all of the obligations of another's contract.

A subcontractor is hired by a general contractor (or prime contractor) to perform a specific task as part of the overall project


2) DELEGATION

types of delegation
- Allocating authority to issue orders.
- Entrusting tasks to subordinates.
- Allocating decision making in defined areas.

It is the assignment of authority and responsibility to another person (normally from a manager to a subordinate) to carry out specific activities. However the person who delegated the work remains accountable for the outcome of the delegate work. It allows a subordinate to make decisions, i.e. it is a shift of decision-making authority from one organizational level to a lower one.
